Dr. Amanda Falick Ascher (she/her) is a co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at sana solutions LLC. She is an IHI-certified Improvement Advisor and the Chief Medical Officer of Bronx Partners for Healthy Communities (BPHC). BPHC is a coalition of healthcare partners created to respond to the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program (DSRIP). Dr. Ascher is a seasoned clinical leader with deep experience in continuous performance improvement, practitioner engagement, workforce strategies including cultural responsiveness, clinical integration, data analytics, population health management, value-based payment arrangements and healthcare operations.
Prior to this, Dr. Ascher was the Medical Director at Segundo Ruiz Belvis Diagnostic and Treatment Center, part of Gotham Health, the FQHC of New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (2009-2015). In this role, she administrated a multidisciplinary clinic with over 60,000 visits per year. She led their ACO performance, Performance Improvement Committee, and was the Patient Safety Officer from 2009-2013.
Dr Ascher was a Clinical Quality Fellow with GNYHA from 2010-2011 and has since served as Fellowship mentor and faculty. Prior to 2009 she was the Medical Director at the Washington Heights Family Health Center of New York Presbyterian. Dr. Ascher has maintained faculty positions throughout her career and still sees patients.
She obtained her medical degree from New York University school of Medicine and completed her internal medicine internship and residency at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center.She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Columbia College. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at CUNY School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
She is passionate about “getting the care right,” her family and snowboarding.
